The cucko-clock was originally produced by black-forests farmers during long winter-evenings. Fascinating is the mechanics, which opens to every full hour a door, from which a cucoo looks out and calls loudly "cuckoo, cuckoo". The webmaster of these page still remembers well the first cuckoo-clock with assorted feelings, which he got as a bithday present by his parents. As a technically interested human being, he wanted to explore how the cuckoo-calls are generated. Unfortunately rhe clock suffered irreparable damages. </BODY>
